Building Process

According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology for General Contractors, construction inefficiencies have cost the nation’s building industry about $15.8 billion. In an industry that’s been slow to embrace new technology, that’s not a big surprise.
At Timberhawk, we’ve always thought there was a better way to build homes that would eliminate that inefficiency. And with recent developments in technology, including CAD software and automated panel equipment we believed off-site framing facilities could produce more economical solutions, including framing packages that are faster, more efficient, and higher quality than the traditional “stick framing” done on-site.
Timberhawk Building Systems offers complete “turn-key” framing packages. The wall-panels and other building components are framed off-site in a controlled environment, and then shipped to the jobsite for installation. With this system, a completed framed home can be built in days – not weeks or months – and without sacrificing quality.
Panel-built structures typically use 26% less wood, so they are more environmentally friendly. They require 37% less construction time, allowing builders to save on interest and financing costs by completing projects earlier.; And because they are fully engineered and constructed in a factory setting, all doors, floors, windows, and walls are exactly square, straight, and plumb. This building strategy not only expedites the construction process, but also reduces labor and material costs..
Panel-Built Process Benefits:
No Wasted Lumber
- Walls are constructed indoors where lumber is protected from weather damage
- High tech software and automated equipment allows for 1/16” tolerances
No Wasted Time
- Pieces are constructed indoors and delivered to the site, eliminating possible weather delays.
No Wasted Labor
- High tech software and automated equipment promises results that are appropriately squared and accurately finished.
